The work pants, the sixth in the popular UNION HERCULES MADE series limited to directly-managed stores, went on sale on March 14 (Sat).

VINTAGE BLUE

For this limited edition model, we will be releasing three different colors of blue from the work pants we have been releasing as a Hercules standard. Indigo is used for the warp and TOP yarn for the weft, resulting in a deep blue denim. By mixing indigo with sulfurization, the blue has a different characteristic from the usual indigo.

The detailing often seen in work pants is said to have started in the late 1890s when a pocket was added to the right side to hold a candle for gold hunters, and the back pockets with flaps and hammer loops seen in the Hercules work pants of the 1960s are also provided. The back pockets are stitched with a layer of fabric for reinforcement, and the stitching on the back of the back pockets is made with such attention to detail that the marks that appear through washing and processing are finished with a genuine look. This time, we dare to finish with product wash to keep the unique vintage color.

Triple stitching, in which three parallel stitches are lined up, is another detail often seen in workwear. The UNION HERCULES MADE items in the standard lineup are stitched with green thread, but this limited edition model has a special red thread. The color scheme is designed to stand out and show off the strength and originality of the item, as well as to reflect the story of the time when leftover yarn from the factory was used to process the inventory. It is a special item that matches the atmosphere of the work that "HERCULES" has very much.
