Satoshi Sumi

 

Principal cellist of the Telemann Chamber Orchestra.
He performed Bach's "Suite for Unaccompanied Cello" at Mint Terrace in Kobe in February 2020 and February 2021, and said, "It is wonderful that he can create a space of sound appropriate for the Baroque with a single stroke, and that he is able to capture it instinctively. (Ongaku no Tomo magazine, April 2020) and "Especially in the fast-tempo dances, he creates a natural flow of the music horizontally, and (omission) skillfully draws out the expansion and contraction of the music and the pleasure that lies beyond it. (Ongaku no Tomo magazine, April 2021).
In April 2021, he performed Beethoven's "Triple Concerto" solo at the 277th subscription concert in Osaka, and was described as "the deep, thick, and desperate tone of the cello is especially impressive" (Ongaku no Tomo magazine, June 2021 issue).
In October 2021, he gave a duo performance of Bach's "Viola da gamba sonata" with Yasuharu Takada, a soloist of the Telemann Society of Japan, at Mint Terrace, Kobe.
After graduating from the Kyoto City University of Arts with a Bachelor's degree in Musicology, he went on to complete a Master's degree in Musicology at the same university. He has studied cello under Kaeko Mukaiyama, Noboru Kamimura, Yutaka Hayashi, and Goichiro Ogawa, chamber music under Shohei Kamimori, and baroque music words under Takeharu Nobuhara.

 

Yasuharu Takada

 

Lives in Germany and made her debut in 2003 with the Telemann Chamber Orchestra at the Kobe Shimbun Matsukata Hall, performing a concerto for piano, fortepiano and harpsichord all in one evening.
Currently he forms a duo with U. Bundesse, baroque violin, and is also performing in Germany.
He studied fortepiano and harpsichord with C. Schornsheim. Also studied with A. Steyer since 2012 and O. Beaumont since 2013. 2018 "Beethoven Album" CD with original fortepiano made by J.G. Greber was specially recommended by "Record Geijutsu" magazine (August 2018 issue). 2018 Music Critic's Club Award for Encouragement. Awarded the Cultural Encouragement Prize of Kobe City in 2020.
