Satoshi Sumi (Baroque cello, 1630 Amati)

 

Born in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
After graduating from the Kyoto City University of Arts with a Bachelor of Music degree, he went on to complete a Master of Music degree at the same university.
Completed workshops such as Phoenix OSAQA, Kusatsu Summer International Music Academy, Capacity Building organized by Yuko Mori, and La Loingtaine Master Class.
Studied with Japan string quartet, Tamaschwarga, Yuko Mori, Aki Sorière, and Raphael Bell. He participated in the Le Pont International Music Festival.
He has studied cello under Kaeko Mukaiyama, Noboru Kamimura, Yutaka Hayashi, and Goichiro Ogawa, and chamber music under Shohei Kamimori.
