Taiji Takada, harpsichord
The harpsichord is a keyboard instrument that was the predecessor of the piano. It was widely used in Renaissance and Baroque music, but gradually disappeared from the scene of music performance with the rise of the piano in the late 18th century. This concert will allow you to enjoy the sound of the harpsichord up close in a salon setting. The performance will be given by Taiji Takada, a musician from Kobe who is active in Germany.
