Known for its exceptional durability, this fabric is used extensively in the outdoor and travel bag and workwear industries, and Manhattan Portage uses the highest quality 1000 denier CORDURA® Classic Fabric with a water repellent finish.

Classic Fabric (1,000D)

This material has the longest history among CORDURA® fabrics and has been produced for a long time.
The high-density weaving of CORDURA® Ny66, processed by a special air-jet machine, gives it top-class strength, and its durability has been proven by its use in the world's toughest environments, such as the US Military.

CORDURA® (Cordura®)
Waxed Nylon Fabric

Special fabric made of 500D CORDURA® Classic with a wax coating finish.
It minimizes the “stickiness” characteristic of wax, and is lighter and more water-repellent than the brand's flagship fabric, 1,000D CORDURA® Classic. This fabric can enjoy some aging as it is used.

CORDURA® Rip-stop Polyester

High quality polyester from CORDURA® Fabric is woven with a ripstop construction.
While thin and lightweight, it is woven with a lattice of reinforcing threads that prevent further damage if a portion of the material is torn.
With excellent abrasion and tear resistance, this fabric is long-lasting even in hard use environments, making it ideal for outdoor activities and other active situations.
It is also water-repellent and water-resistant (1,500 mm), protecting items from rain and water.
